This site is In remembrance of Ron Coleman who sadly passed away on the 20th Feb 2006. Ron was Leading Sergeant at Brixham Battery during the war and was the honourable secretary of the Brixham Battery Heritage Centre Group - all of who are deeply saddened by his passing.

	Welcome to the official website for the Brixham Battery Heritage Centre Group. The main aims of this website is to provide information on the purpose and history of the World War II Coastal Defence Battery sited in the town of Brixham, within the county of Devon, England. The Brixham Battery Heritage Centre Group was founded in 1999, we are a group of volunteers helping to restore the Brixham Battery and provide on-site information to the general public. The group uses the Artillery Training Section (ATS) hut as its education centre and museum after having secured a 25 year lease from Torbay council......more
	Why not come and visit our site to find answers to some interesting questions, such as:- Why were the main 4.7 inch guns manufactured in Japan? How did a German solider become the Battery Commander from 1942 to 1944? Where did German E-boats attack and sink U.S. ships taking part in Exercise Tiger during April 1944? The museum has displays of WW2 memorabilia, uniforms and weaponry as well as a period armoured car. The Battery Group charge no entry fee but our future depends on donations from the public.
