Brixham Battery launched its 'Repair and Restoration Appeal' this weekend. Over £500 was raised from our fund raising coffee morning held at the Community Methodist Hall in Fore Street on Saturday and at our D-Day commemorative event held at the Battery museum on Sunday.

We welcomed 22 new members and another 12 rejoined our group. The Devon Military Vehicle club paid us a visit bringing with them 4 World War II jeeps plus a US Army wartime vintage Buick staff car. They also arranged a fly past by 6 wartime 'spotter planes' making the afternoon something rather special!

Over 100 people attended the coffee morning and 150 visitors came to our D-Day Event BBQ with live music from both the 'Silver Wings' duo and 'Jigger Smith'.

A big thank you to all who supported the events over the weekend. Money raised will repair the recent damage by vandalism.
